Life After Liyann

I hate working. I'm so sick of sitting in this room with these same people all the time. Don't get me wrong....I love my siblings, and Daimyon and his team are great. I just don't want to sit here all the time. It's like every single day the same thing: wake up, eat, sit around and wait, eat, wait, eat, sleep. I barely even get a shower in these days! It was almost time for dinner and yet another day had gone by with my doing nothing.

Daimyon: Soni, what are you doing?

Soniya: Who wants to know?

Daimyon: I do, obviously.

Soniya: Well in case you were too blind to see....nothing.

Daimyon: Why do you have to act like that?

Soniya: Why do you have to act like that?

Daimyon got up and walked off. I guess I didn't have to act like that, but I mean...what else is there to do? Sitting around is so boring. I mean, before Daimyon and his team joined us we were fine living the normal life. I could have sworn our parents died so that we wouldn't have to live like this.

I sighed. I knew I was wrong. I just don't like the fact that everything has changed because of all of this. Liyann no longer poses a threat to me. I have no patience for Gill who only ever does whatever I say and my siblings are doing nothing but smooching with their beau's. I love Daimyon but we don't do that.

I got up and went out the door of my room. I walked down the stairs and into the living room where Daimyon was sitting on the floor with his eyes closed. He was doing that thing he does when he seems like he's sleeping but is really just closing his eyes. I smirk at the opportunity to have a bit of fun and run up and jump in his lap.

Daimyon grunts from pain. He looks at me, completely irritated, and then pushes me across the room.

Daimyon: What is your problem?!

I get up, slightly irritated, and walk over to him. I kick him in his side, knocking him over onto his face.

Soniya: I was only messing around. Why did you have to take things so seriously?

Daimyon slipped his foot under me and knocks me to the ground.

Daimyon: Well find some other way to do it. That hurt!

That did it. I got up and punched him. He flew into the kitchen and against the sink. A pipe burst and water began to spray all over the place. I got up, chuckling, and dusted myself off. He overreacted and he completely deserved that. I turned to go back upstairs when I was suddenly sent flying through the front window. Before I hit the ground I used my hands to flip myslef over. In the air I turned myself around and found that Daimyon was attacked to me.

Soniya: You tackled me?!

I yanked him off my back and roundhouse kicked him, sending him in the opposite direction of me. I used the energy from within me to create an invisible floor and landed on air. I watched him flip backwards, look up at me and then mimic my ability.

Soniya: Copycat!

Daimyon: What? You thought I would just drop to the ground like that? Yeah right!

Soniya: Find your own way to not get hurt.

Daimyon: How about I just win this. That seems to be the best way to do that.

Soniya: Or you could give up before I take that opportunity from you.

Daimyon: Soni, really. Let's be honest with ourselves. The only time you fight me and win is when I let you. You would have to use your enhancer to win against me and the moment you let her out I let mine out. So that would just be a waste of energy, don't you think?

Soniya: Too bad. It seems like even your jokes can't seem to win, huh?

Daimyon: Good thing it wasn't a joke then.

I growled in anger, exploding in a ball of fire that lasted only a second. I heard Daimyon clicking his tongue.

Daimyon: Tsk tsk babe. Violence is not the answer.

Soniya: Says the idiot who started this!

I shot fire balls towards him, only to find him standing right next to me soon after. I swung, hitting nothing, and then followed up with a kick to the chest. I dodged a few blows and swung a few. No one was making any progress. I shoved him backwards but before my hands left his chest he grabbed my wrists and pulled me down with him. I squeaked in panic for a moment but we landed on the same floor of energy that he had already created beneath him. He grabbed me around my waste and pulled me up to look him in the eye.

He was already smiling when I popped him on the side of his head. I only hit him playfully this time.

Daimyon: What? You thought I would drop you?

Soniya: Maybe. You can be a bit  clumsy sometimes.

I smiled at him and he shook his head.

Daimyon: I got you boo.

I rolled my eyes and let him pull me into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and sighed. I felt bad for all the shmucks in the house. All they do all day is sit around and smooch each other. Daimyon and I aren't like that. I rolled onto my back and we hugged each other while we watched the sun set over the horizon.
